ABOUT
Lauren Davies is a Registered Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC #11-089) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A #A18886). She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in psychology from James Madison University in 2006 and her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University in 2009.
Lauren is passionate about working with individuals who are seeking a creative, expressive, and integrative approach to therapy. She specializes in supporting neurodiverse individuals, highly sensitive individuals, and those navigating early transitions into adulthood, including challenges related to identity development, emotional regulation, independence, and life skills. Her work often focuses on helping clients build confidence, resilience, and practical coping strategies during periods of growth and change.
Lauren uses a strengths-based, collaborative approach that integrates art therapy with evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, guided imagery, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and sand tray therapy. She enjoys partnering with clients and, when appropriate, their support systems to access inner resources, deepen self-understanding, and build upon existing strengths. Lauren considers it a privilege to support clients as both a witness and collaborator in their journey toward well-being and self-expression.
