YOGA THERAPY
Yoga therapy at Kelley Counseling & Wellness offers a self-empowering, integrative approach that supports healing across the mind, body, and nervous system. Rooted in the Yoga tradition of Patanjali and informed by Ayurvedic principles, this approach adapts mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, and embodied awareness to meet each client’s needs in a gentle, noninvasive way. The focus is on reducing stress, restoring balance, and supporting regulation, resilience, and overall well-being.
Depending on individual goals, yoga-informed therapy may be preventative, restorative, or supportive, helping clients manage symptoms, increase vitality, and deepen self-connection. Practices are designed to evolve over time and honor each person’s pace and capacity.
At Kelley Counseling & Wellness, sessions are offered by Dr. Amelia Kelley and are grounded in trauma-informed principles emphasizing safety, choice, and attunement. Sessions may incorporate trauma-sensitive yoga practices, including Yin and Vinyasa, and integrate principles of Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) when supporting addiction recovery. Personalized home practices may be offered to support integration and continued progress between sessions.
