Brainspotting

Picture
What Is Brainspotting?Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma, stress, and emotional blocks. It’s based on the idea that “where you look affects how you feel.” By identifying eye positions—called “brainspots”—linked to unprocessed memories or emotions, Brainspotting helps access the deep parts of the brain where trauma and stress are stored.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting doesn’t require you to relive painful memories in detail. Instead, it uses focused mindfulness, body awareness, and eye positioning to gently release what’s stuck, creating lasting relief and resilience.
How It Works
  • Finding the Brainspot: With the therapist’s guidance, you identify eye positions connected to the body’s felt sense of an issue.
  • Staying Present: You maintain focus on the spot while noticing sensations, emotions, or images that arise.
  • Deep Processing: This activates the brain’s natural healing process, allowing trauma or stress to resolve at the root.
Benefits of Brainspotting
  • Reduces symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD
  • Helps release the effects of trauma and chronic stress
  • Improves performance, creativity, and emotional regulation
  • Creates a sense of calm, clarity, and empowerment
Brainspotting can be effective for children, teens, and adults. Whether you’re navigating trauma, burnout, grief, or simply feel “stuck,” this gentle yet transformative therapy can help you move forward with greater ease.
